New York's Bridal Fashion Week did not disappoint. From crystal-studded headphones to elaborate head pieces, designers pulled out all the stops this season. The runways were flooded with key-holes, intricate detailing, crystal embellishments and barely-there fabrics, jaws dropping as these models turned and spotlighted the gown back.

"My Fall 2016 bridal collection is an elaborate fantasy inspired by a romantic and opulent garden," renowned bridal designer Monique Lhuillier says of this season's line, later describing the collection as an ethereal dream. Lhuillier presented a wide variety of styles and shapes of gown backs that are feminine and dreamy, perfect for romantic-inspired brides.

Ines Di Santo's gown backs struck a perfect mix of sexy and elegance and the variety ensures there is an option for every bride, whether classic, traditional or glamorous. From gorgeous layers of crystal beaded strands to super intricate lace detailing, these models absolutely stunned from behind.

Reem Acra continued the dramatic back trend with most gowns sent down the runway, each adorned with a spinal button trail, intricate lace and appliqué detailing on barely-there, sheer fabric. The dresses are ultra-chic, super feminine, and the hand-sewn detailing is just plain incredible. I am completely obsessed with the two-piece, cropped top and ruffled skirt, perfect for vintage-inspired brides.

Alfred Angelo debuted the 2016 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Bridal Collection at NYBFW and the gown backs kept in line with the dramatic trend. The Disney princess-inspired gowns were covered in crystals and pearls and the look was completed with braided crowns - perfect for the princess-inspired bride.
