It's whimsical, it's glamorous, it's all-over fabulous – but would we really expect anything less from Rachel Zoe?

It's safe to say that we were utterly beside ourselves when we saw the Spring 2016 runway collection as designed by reigning queen of bohemian-luxe fashion, none other than Rachel Zoe. Here are some of our favorite looks from her line as shown at New York Fashion Week – and all the reasons why this collection is everything.

It channels “The New Bohemian.”

This makes total sense, since Rachel Zoe practically invented the copiously coveted new bohemian flavor. What’s that, you ask? Simple – it’s whimsical, but it’s still glamorous; it's free-flowing, but won't drown your shape. Think super-cute, yet comfortable. Think pretty and feminine, full of stylish laid-back ease, but with a touch of quintessential cool-girl flavor.

For instance, Victorian blouse and skirt sets worn with menswear-inspired shoes (we are loving flats and oxfords on the runway). Basically, it’s Zoe’s signature style with an edge.

It has that vintage-inspired look that we LOVE.

Her Victorian-inspired pieces have beautiful, old world silhouettes that are graced with dramatic flair. Not to mention, Zoe is a champion of that vintage, "could have found it at a thrift store but instead it's thousands of dollars" feel we all know, love and covet, and has been since her rise to fame.

Plus, just take a look at the intricate detail in this dress. At first glance it may look simple, nightgown-esque even, but on closer inspection? It's a work of art. The plunging tie-down neckline, the lace panels traveling down past the bodice, and the perfectly pristine pleating all come together to make a gorgeous impact on the catwalk. This gown could be bohemian bridal wear at its finest.

She knows how to incorporate structure.

The majority of the line has a vintage-inspired silhouette that has been refined and made more modern. We all know that Zoe has a classic style – but here it is, displayed in each and every piece in her collection. Though she experiments with an array of different shapes to keep us guessing, each ensemble is totally cohesive, which in our eyes is crucial for a successful runway collection.

The designer incorporates structure in amazing haute couture fashion by pairing boxy shapes with her trademark free-flowing silhouettes and billowing sleeves – something that can undoubtedly be tricky to pull off (much less pull off well), but pull it off she does.

We're especially loving the above-pictured romantic ensemble. Consisting of an off-the-shoulder blouse, as tucked into a midi-length, flawlessly fitted leather skirt, and tasseled peep-toe heels, this look is new bohemian done right. The tassels! The lace! The drama!

Though most of the collection is classic black and white, she does color beautifully.

While blacks, whites and creams ruled the runway when it came to Rachel Zoe's spring line, we found ourselves completely blown away by this ochre gown. If goddesses walked the earth, we're pretty sure this is what they would wear. Oh-so-elegant.

Also, we have two words for you: Bronze metallics. Ugh, don't even get us started about the bronze metallics.

The woman is just all-around fabulous.

So it makes total and complete sense that her #NYFW Spring 2016 line would be, too. Can't argue with the rules of fashion.
