It's A White Out at NYFW
We are loving the White Party happening all over NYFW!
NYFW has taken over New York City and one thing's for sure - white is undeniably the most presented color on the runway across the board this season, and we love it! These gorgeous white creations ranged from ready-to-wear street styles to over-the-top gowns and everything in between. Check out the best of what's WHITE at NYFW:
Diane von Furstenberg's collection of white pieces were subtly tied together with a black and gold cheetah-printed trim and a new line of metallic crisscrossed strappy sandals. DVF said, "I love crisscross in general — it makes your foot look good, and it carries you. And I love gold — I give as much attention to it as possible. We have different versions [of similar styles] so you can walk in the street and also have a party shoe."
Jenny Packham's white crystal-embellished tulle dresses were ultra feminine and the fluidity of the fabric moved elegantly as the models made their way down the catwalk. I absolutely love how Packham mixed a pop of color with a deep turquoise eye-shadow and an orangey-red lip.
Angel Sanchez's collection of white dresses presented a mix of textures, prints, and silhouettes, beautifully tied together with bright orange, flower-embellished heels and a neutral face. Sanchez's designs were fresh and modern with a sweet, super feminine look that effortlessly translates from the runway to real life.
I am currently coveting Zac Posen's collection of absolutely gorgeous white gowns. And while these were definitely the highlights of his show (for me), Posen revealed there are more gowns to come! "Some of the ball-gowns and dresses were not on the runway, which will make their debut at the Emmys even more special,” Posen told Pret-a-Reporter backstage. “We’re keeping the fashion show going all year round.” Something tells me there will be more than one white, Posen dress at the Emmy's this season.
